We left Omsk early to give the webbing a chance.  We didn’t notice the lack of suspension – I think by this time we had lost  sensitivity to any kind of surface!

Day 17; 12th June - 315km - Tyumen to Yekaterinberg

As yesterday we made an earlier start than the official time which meant another eight hour penalty (but what the hell!!!).  We needed to get to Yekaterinberg early to do a thorough nut and bolt check and to service the car. On the way we passed a SAM 2 missile alongside the road!

Day 18; 13th June - Rest Day in Yekaterinberg

We used the day to tend to poor Mog’s needs.  Jon once again dismantled the rear and we refitted a rear spring which now comprised a new Morgan top leaves, two adapted Lagonda leaves and a recycled Morgan top leaf as two bottom leaves!
